Starting a website or online business should be fun and exciting! That's why we've created a Resource Guide to help you navigate through the online 'set-up' process. We certainly want your website and business to be successful, so if you have any questions or there is a topic you don't find here that you would like covered, let us know!
register a domain name and hosting setup.
The first step when thinking about building a new website for your business is to register a domain name and then setup hosting. You can choose to follow the steps below to help setup your account or we can do this for you. We do recommend you using HostMonster.com.**
- First select your new domain name, if you already own your domain name use the "I Have a Domain Name" selection. You have the option of transferring your domain name to Hostmonster. If you choose this option you will combine your domain name services and your website hosting into one Hostmonster account, which makes account monitoring more convenient. If you prefer to keep your domain name with it's current company, then opt out of transferring the domain name.
- If you choose the 'I Need a Domain' selection you can select 'Add HostMonster Privacy Free' option. This will keep your personal information 'private' on the WhoIs Internet database.
- Complete your Account and Billing Information and choose your Package. We recommend choosing either the 24-month month or 36-month package.
- When you have filled out the form click 'Create Account'.
- After your account has been setup, you will receive an account setup email within an hour or two after signing up. For security, HostMonster will also call you to verify that you setup the account.
Not sure you're ready to tackle this on your own? No worries! We can register your domain for you - just fill out the contact request or call us at 704-641-9704.
